16. Pray for someone- with them- outloud

On July 9th 2010 I lost another person in my life.

Kathy Miller was a "mother" to me when I was in 8th grade and my Dad moved to Texas a month before school let out. The Millers took me into their home and treated me as their own child for the weeks that I lived there. I have never had a relationship with another family as I have with the Millers.

MINUTES before my Dad passed away Kathy Miller called me to pray with my Dad, however he was asleep so I asked if she would pray with me. Kathy prayed the sweetest prayer and I firmly believe God sent her to me for that ONE moment in my life where I would need to have the softened heart of acceptance to understand and accept the fact that God had bigger plans and that my Dads time had come for him to transition into heaven. Kathy was the last person I talked to before my Dad passed 2 minutes later. Her prayer was exactly what I needed, God was speaking through her to me. I'll never forget that moment we had.

When I got the call that Kathy had passed suddenly from a heartattack I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that Kathy, an otherwise healthy person, could have passed on. She was so full of life the last time I had talked to her (a few weeks ago) and I was heartbroken for her family. Her daughter Genesa has been one of my best friends since 7th grade and because of that I've always felt so close all of the Millers. I got to California as fast as I could and I helped as much as I could, with whatever I could. I loved being there. I hated why I was there, but I loved being around family.

The last day I was there Genesa asked if we could have a family prayer. Bernard (her Dad), Lil Bernard (brother), Marcus (her husband), Genesa and I stood in a circle holding hands for nearly a half hour praying for eachother, friends and family of Kathy's that are also heartbroken. During the prayer time I had the opportunity to pray outloud for the people standing with me in the circle. NEVER HAVE I EVER felt as though GOD was speaking THROUGH me like HE was right then. I was sobbing, SOBBING, going through my prayer, thanking HIM for the Kathy's life and all the people she has touched through HIM.

It felt good to pray outloud for someone. It was a fear of mine, for the fear of not saying the right things. But with GOD speaking through me, I had no concerns, I just opened my mouth and let HIM take control!

Thank you LORD for the Millers. Thank you LORD for Kathy!

32. Hang curtains in our room

**Picture coming**

AJ and I worked out a system to decorating our house and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!! We haven't put anything up on our walls aside from the curtains in the living room and a huge (non working) clock in the dining room. The house has felt a lot like a temporary living space for a while now and I really wanted it to feel more like home. However, when AJ and I work on something (i.e. building something) I tend to bark when he's doing things "wrong" so we decided that HE would do the hanging, and I would do the pointing! I love this arrangement!! We also agreed that we would tackle one wall a day, so that it wouldn't be a long drawn out process!!

WELL............

We finally got the curtains up in the bedroom!! I'm excited, now if I need/want to nap I can clothes the curtains and it'll be dark(ish) in the room!!

I love the look, I really think it completes the feel of the room!!

Thank you hunny for being my curtain installer!

101 - 3 = 98 to go!!!

9. Take Jackson to the movies

We did it! We went to the Movies!!! It was a COMPLETE FLOP!!

The theatre had ONE box office open selling tickets. So we waited 20 minutes in line1
The theatre decided to start the movie 25 minutes late..so we waited (another) 20 minutes!
The theatre showed the WORST quality movie, the screen was dark, Shrek was a light green instead of his BRIGHT OGRE SELF!

I was un-impressed!

Jackson asked to go home about 20 minutes after the movie started. We did.

I was over it, he was over it. We came home, we played, we had a good afternoon!

I am moving right along with my 101 in 1001, 2 down! 99 to go!

101 in 1001

I saw a blog that had a list of 101 things that the author wanted to complete in 1001 days. That's a long time....yet not really long at all.
